2023 – A Year in Review
As we approach the conclusion of another year, it is the perfect moment to reflect on the projects undertaken, the challenges encountered, and the milestones achieved. Join us in and looking back on a year in review and acknowledging just a small collection of some of the accomplishments that defined our journey over the past year.
More than 92 km (57 miles) of tunnel were inspected in 2023 and 68 survey projects in total were completed. One project alone involved almost 80 surveys which were completed successfully using customized remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
ASI has been providing hyperbaric support to the Advanced Tunnel of the Scarborough Subway Extension (ATSSE) and the project is still ongoing. Since 2015, we have successfully completed more than 1,000 hyperbaric interventions and this year we expanded into the US market with the Shoreline Storage Tunnel in Cleveland, Ohio.
Around the World in 365 Days
At ASI, our Teams are used to collecting a lot of travel miles for the projects we work on. ASI had projects across North America and beyond. In Canada, we travelled from Morseby Island in British Columbia to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Across the USA, our crews travelled coast-to-coast again from Washington to California, and New York to Florida. Our ROV Teams travelled as far north as the Yukon, as far south as Lima, Peru, and as far away as Iceland. These are just some examples of the global reach achieved by our teams this year.
In business development, our team’s active participation in over 22 tradeshows and conferences this year underscores our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends. As we wrap up 2023, we are already gearing up for the 2024 season with even more shows.
